One of the best Big Brothers!

When I got pregnant with Liam I wasn't really sure how things were going to go. Aiden had been an "only" child for 4 years. Not only was he spoiled from Mommy and Daddy; but by EVERYONE else in the family! He was the first grandson on both sides of the family and has tons of aunts and uncles; so when I say he was spoiled it's actually kind of an understatement. Aiden was everyones world; and then all of a sudden on 12.12.10 @ 1:27pm his world was turned upside down; Liam was here!

Aiden was very excited to come meet his new little brother at the hospital. He loved him soo much! The first few days home he was all about him; maybe even a little overwhelming at times.... and then he started realizing Liam wasn't leaving. He was stuck with Liam for life.... Aiden would sometimes pinch Liam to see our reactions and often showed alot of jealousy. He often made comments like "Mommy, you don't love me no more" and "Put Liam down, you've been holding him all day..." He thankfully got over this stage quickly.. and here we are 13 months later and he has got to be the BEST big brother ever!!

Today I really realized how much Liam has actually learned from Aiden. Mostly good things, but of course some not so good things too. Liam goes to work with me and he is in the infant room with me. We have an itty-bitty baby girl that just started recently and he was absolutely the cutest thing with her today! She was crying in the swing, and his little butt crawled over to the swing, stood up and starting pushing the swing very gently to soothe her. As he was doing this he kept looking over at me with this big smile on his face, as if he was saying "Look at me Mom!" one of the cutest things i've seen! This gesture was definitely something he learned from his big brother Aiden. Aiden is always soo gentle with him and takes such good care of him. I love that he looks up to his big brother. Another thing I noticed (that may not be soo good, but is kind of cute) is that Liam follows Aiden around when he's playing "star wars" and/or "getting the bad guys" with whatever object he has in his little hand, making the same noises Aiden is making to "get those bad guys!"

As much as I know they are two completely different children, I see them being an awful lot alike in every day life choices, morals and how they treat others. I've always taught Aiden to treat others nicely and to never ever make fun of another child; and his sweet gestures when it comes to how he treats others is definitely rubbing off on Liam. I love my boys soo much. I hope that they grow up to be strong willed, successful, loving, caring MEN! I, as their mother will continue to teach them to be their "own" person, stand up for what they believe in, and always treat the next person as you would want to be treated....

We're Back!

I know I've neglected this blog for quite some time now, but I've decided I'm back; and I'm going to stay up-to-date with it this time! We have come very far in the past 8 months. Aiden is in his fifth month of Pre-K and Liam is a year old now! Crawling all over the place and starting to stand on his own... but no walking yet. Really hoping it's some time soon though... 23 lbs and counting is way too heavy for me to continue to carry around! Thanks for all that follow... many interesting stories coming soon! Trust me, these two boys are quite the pair :)

Anxious To Get Her Blog Started Again-
